Before configuring
AR-Cluster to operate with your TNC, check out your TNC connection with a
suitable communication program.
Hyperterm works well and is included with most 32-bit Windows operating
systems. Make sure you can communicate
with and execute commands on your TNC.
This will check out the TNC, baud rate, serial port and cable. If you
cannot communicate with the TNC, check you Windows serial port configuration,
TNC settings and cable. Check your
Windows and TNC documentation for details.
Getting a TNC into the
KISS mode may also need a power reset.
For the KPC-3, type "INTFACE KISS" at the command prompt and
then either type the command “RESTART” or cycle power to the TNC.
